My idea here is to show a different way - but not innovative - to access the main devices of the computer. This would require a good integration with hal/dbus, but I believe that would be much more usable that the current method.
Currently on E17, when a new device is connected, it created a icon in $HOME/.e/e/fileman/favorites for the device in question. I see this as a non-practical solution: access to the devices becomes longer, because it is necessary to access the folder of bookmarks. It also did not want something as common as the sidebar used in most managers files, then, as I find it very interesting the idea of the OS X (and WindowMaker) Dock , I thought it would be legal to use this idea within a manager files. No, I do not have a Mac (Buah! I don't have a Mac!) but I love the Enlightenment and see that stealing ideas not only of Windows is worth :-) Shares of devices are available with a context menu (right click): eject, umount, burning, formatting, etc.. My inspiration here was the Itask-ng, which has some interesting effects such as animations, transparencies, etc.. I hope someone finds the idea interesting, because I thought, but confess that does not have sufficient knowledge to implement this feature in the EFM.
