Yes, please :)

When e16 is hung with the grey error message box you can switch to a 
free VT (or log in from another computer).
Find the PID ("ps ax|grep e16" or such).
Use "gdb /usr/bin/e16 <pid>" to start up gdb.
At the gdb prompt enter "bt".

The backtrace is probably only useful if the executable (/usr/bin/e16 or 
wherever you have it) contains symbol information.

Does this happen with the winter theme?
