gnome-terminal is not inheriting its environment from E, thus not inheriting
the E_IPC_SOCKET environment var. gnome-terminal runs only once - and any new
instances message the original to open a window, so if the original did not
inherit e's environment (was launched before e - i.e. not by e) you won't get
the environment.
