I'm experiencing a very strange phenomenon with E17 at the moment.

Everything has become "backwards":

    - Active, focused windows are decorated like unfocused windows
      and vice-versa

    - If I mouse over an icon in the shelf, the tooltip disappears;
when the mouse leaves the icon, the tooltip appears. Same
      goes for the battery monitor.

    - I have two virtual desktops (and one physical screen). If I'm
on the LEFT virtual desktop, and move my mouse to the right of
the screen, nothing happens. But if I move my mouse to the
left side of the screen, I switch to the RIGHT virtual
      desktop.

    - Likewise, the virtual desktop module in my shelf are
reversed: visually, they appear correct, but if I'm in the
left desktop, and click on the right, nothing happens. But if
I click on the left, I transfer to the right.

I took a screenshot:

You can see that the active window (upper right, where I'm running
scrot) has the non-active titlebar style, and the other two inactive
windows look active. Also you can see the "persistent" tooltips
over all the icons in my shelf.

Unfortunately, I can't say what caused this to happen; it's on my
laptop and I just randomly use it off and on---I just picked it up
and noticed this! So it's hard to say what I did that caused this.

FWIW, I built e/efl from CVS on Ubuntu 8.04 within the last few
days (can't remember exactly when I pulled the files from CVS, but
they're all less than a week old).

Let me know if you have any questions. I'll try to pay attention to
what I do on this laptop in case it happens again.

Matt
