entrance is slightly borked at the moment and appears to have trouble with  
the ownership of the ~/.Xauthority
Try chowning the .Xauthority or start e17 via some other login manager or  
startx.  On my other machine entrance would still login seemingly  
randomly, ie wait a minute and try to login again.
