Hello all

Today, I got e17 up and running again after rebuilding my system. As always, I
love E. Fast, Simple FAST.
My system is RHEL 4.4.
For testing purposes, I initially configured e from the command line, and
installed entrance and changed my init level to 5 after I was satisfied with my
setup.
I use the default display manager (gdm) and e works fine.

So now I'm trying to get entrance to work. . .

Here's my problem. I can logon through the entrance interface as root, but I
can't logon through my user account. I enter my user name and password but
logon fails and returns to entrance. I can't logon to any window manager (kde,
gnome, failsafe)as a normal user when entrance is used.

I invoke entrance via the following line in inittab:
x:5:respawn:/usr/local/sbin/entranced -nodaemon

I have removed .Xclients and .Xclients-default from the home directory, but no
change.

If I remember correctly, www.atmos.org had a very nice configuration guide for
entrance, but the server seems to be down.

I know this isn't an e or entrance problem, it's a configuration problem, but
any help would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Steve Smith
