for what I can see eap_to_desktop doesn't use enlightenment_eapp at all.
it just uses "eet -d" on the given eap to extract relevant
information to write a .desktop file, then copy the eap (after
renaming it to $1.edj) in the icons dir to use it as icon for the
.desktop file.

I used it two days ago and it worked, though there was just one
problem: I had to edit all .desktop files by hand to make the
"Icon=" field pointing to an absolute path to an icon file, because
a relative path doesn't seem to work.

I also replaced all .edj files with smaller .png files.
