I will send a screenshot by tomorrow. In the meantime, I am trying to
better understand from where the issue could come into the MPlayer code.

can you get a screenshot of the problem? have you tried just moving the window
to where you want it? mplayer may not be asking for a specific position on
screen or it may even ask for a centered position. i can't say until you
provide window property info.
