Hi. I have two questions concerning e16.
1) If I use xrandr to change to a lower resolution, my pager, Epplets, Iconbox,... all are moved so they automatically fit into the new screen. However, if I change back to a higher resolution again, they stay where they are. For example, after switching from high resolution down to 800x600 and back, my epplets are no longer in the lower right corner but piled up at screen position 800x600, e.g., in the middle of the screen. This is of course extremely annoying. Is this a bug/design feature or did I just miss the right setting? 2) I (sometimes) use two displays simultaneously. As far as I was able to find out, enlightenment (and X) give me two possibilities to deal with this: a) Run two framebuffers, one for each screen. In this case, enlightenment will run two instances, one for each screen. However, those instances don't seem to communicate with each other and I cannot move windows from one to the other. (This is what I use.) b) Xinerama. In this case, enlightenment will give me one large screen. However, in this case, If I switch the virtual desktop on one screen, the other will also change. I am looking for something like a compromise between a) and b). I would like to have one e16-instance handling both displays, so that I can move windows from one to the other, but each should run independent virtual desktops, so that I can switch desktops around on one display without affecting the other display. In other words, What I would like is having two deskops (as jou can configure under "multiple desktop settings", but each of them running on another display. Is this somehow possible and I just (again) are to blind to see it, or is this too much to ask for? -- CU, Christian Klein http://www.garfield.com/comics/comics_archives_strip.html?2005-ga050715 ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by xPML, a groundbreaking scripting language that extends applications into web and mobile media.
