hi all,
I found this message
(http://sourceforge.net/mailarchive/message.php?msg_id=12722012) from
raster so i recompiled everything with CFLAGS="-mno-mmx -mno-sse
-mno-sse2 -mno-sse3"
This did not help.

Hi,
I just installed DR17 from CVS (thinktux.net mirror). Barring a few
compilation errors that were easy to solve (
http://edevelop.org/node/1836 ), installation was easy. (I'm using
gentoo and the installation manual here:
http://gentoo-wiki.com/HOWTO_e17 ).
I am running an Amd64 Gentoo in native 64-bit mode.
I do seem to have some artifacts with animated backgrounds though.
Blue_eyed_trees has white lines on top and below. The picture
itself seems to shrink and expand randomly for a few pixels, expanding
and shrinking the white border. Strangly, this behaviour seems to come
and go during the animation. Switching to the background from the menu
replaces the top of the window with the pic. Clicking on another theme
in the list solves this. Clicking on the theme entry again makes the
preview appear correctly. This also happens when i select the bg,
close the window and open it again.
e17_bg_rising_a2 (splendid bg!) seems to work better, although it
does shudder at times in its cycle. Possibly problems are just less
visible because of the white bg.
leftaloneHouses-0.1 also creates a white border on the right side
while shrinking in horizontal direction. This seems all that happens.
I see no artifacts on e17_layered_sky, but everything moves there...
Perhaps there is some sort of diagnostics background/tool available?
thank you for any answer,
J.
