Fonts are managed/changed by something called textclasses (there
is also something called colorclasses) -- these features come
from edje. Raster has noted problems with both of these and has
specifically turned off the textclass support. Until the bugs
for this are resolved, the font changing options won't work.

However, that doesn't prevent you from making changes to fonts
and the like. It's just a little more work. In the
calendar/src/images folder are a list of *.edc files. Hopefully
the name of the edc will tell you what part of the calendar it's
for. Modify the appropriate .edc file and changing colors in
the "default" section, followed by recompiling the calendar
module will also get you what you want. Read the readme for a
        little more info
