Recent (about a month or so) E17 snapshots have had a slight focus problem.
It is very hard to get the keyboard focus into the vnc authorization dialog
at all. It used to work without a hitch. Also, it was nicer to be able to
press ctrl-alt-del inside vnc - nowadays (recent E17) it invokes a "kill E?"
dialog.

I've had the same issue with the vnc authorization dialog. It's pretty funny, apart from when you're in a hurry, and it's infuriating :)
Try tightvnc - it doesn't have this issue.
I assumed that it was the widget toolkit that vnc viewer uses that was causing the problem.
