Actually, it’s automake and autoconf, but they didn’t scan as well, in that subject line.

I’ve tried multiple versions of automake  and autoconf on my RH9 system, 2.54, 2.59, 1.7, 1.7.9, 1.9.6…. I cannot get autogen.sh to run.  I’ve currently got exactly what I’m supposed to have, 2.54 & 1.7 (just plain 1.7), and I still get

[EMAIL PROTECTED] entropy]# ./autogen.sh

Running aclocal...

aclocal: configure.in: 27: macro `AM_ENABLE_SHARED' not found in library

aclocal: configure.in: 30: macro `AM_PROG_LIBTOOL' not found in library

what am I missing, here? Since I explicitly built and installed those versions, I shouldn’t need the WANT_* exports added into the autogen.sh file, as the new EFL guide suggests, should I?

I know I should probably just head straight to evidence, but I wanted to give entropy a shot.  Oh, well…
