I've noticed doing it this way works better that starting
from .xsession, .xprofile, or whatever especially with regard to transparent
eterms. Sometimes the eterms started from .xsession won't start transparent,
I suppose because there isn't yet a background.

p.s. remember to chmod +x /home/me/.e16/startup.sh
