Yeah, e17 is pretty stable -- the only thing that made it unstable for
me for a few weeks was running xcompmgr ;) but in reality e wasn't
crashing -- it was X itself that was getting segmentation faults, and of
course taking e down with it. Whenever e17 crashes it lets me restart
very easily without losing my applications. Hopefully X11 7.0 will
increase the stability of Composite, until then i'll have to settle for
the "basic" eye-candy e gives me (which is a lot more than any other
desktop out there!)
