imlib2 isnt invovled in e17 at all beyond helping compile .edj files.

the reason for this is the fonts arent in bistream vera, so it falls back to
one of the fallback fonts for glyphs and frankly these fallback fonts are not
pretty. basically the plan is to remove the fallback fonts from e itself and
move them into language packs along with translations and then you install a
language pack tailored to your language needs - or multiple packs. each adds
support for displaying that language's text AND provides a translation of e. if
needed language packs may need to ship a font. but i haven't gotten to that yet.
