how does your structure in $HOME/.evidence look like?
should look like this:
~/.evidence/icons/gant_128 # or the size you want to use
~/.evidence/themes/gant
~/.evidence/themes/fonts/mikachan-PB.ttf
~/.evidence/themes/fonts/vera.ttf
etc
