this can be done with the new face feature.
I had another idea:
a temprature graph of the next few days, on top of the weather image.
I actually got the time to make a little drawing with gimp (I am getting
better with it :)

a nice layout can be two images, one next to the other:
the left one is today, the right one is tomorrow.
