You really should look at E17 again - it has changed a lot! I was
using E16.7 for quite a while (half a year or so) and tried to use E17
for several times, but it was too unstable. Now, i believe, i really
got better! (If no new bugs appeareed since my last checkout) It is
usable - even though it takes quite a while to create eaps,
backgrounds, tune modules etc...
