Can someone suggest how to use the "reparent" command in eesh to do
something useful?
I tried to reparent an xterm window inside many others....none of them worked.

For example, can we create a small x window which can hold other
windows (by reparenting them to this) to create a nice kind of a
panel ?

Well, this is mostly a debug thingy. e16 can run in "window mode", which can be useful for debugging, e.g. "e16 -w 800x600" (or 0.16.7 "enlightenment -window 800x600"). The eesh reparent command can reparent a window from the "main" e16 into the window e16. This can also be done by dragging from the pager.
