I wish it were so. I also tried the snapshots at the page listed
because of your comment to a Slackware user about those being there so
you didn't have to worry about broken auto tool versions. Same
problem. Additionally, my "autofoo" tools are fairly recent:

bash-3.00$ automake --version
automake (GNU automake) 1.8.3

bash-3.00$ autoconf --version
autoconf (GNU Autoconf) 2.59

bash-3.00$ autoheader --version
autoheader (GNU Autoconf) 2.59

It's not just evas that has this problem. When ecore gets to the point
where it builds executables, it too has a problem with undefined
symbols like those when linking some of the executables.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
