I'm having problems getting enlightenment to work on my machine.
My current working environment is gnome-2.0, started from dtlogin on my Solaris
2.9 box.
I have downloaded the enlightenment packages for Solaris, and installed them,
and, after adding /usr/local/enlightenment/bin to my PATH, and /usr/ucblib to
my LD_LIBRARY_PATH, I got the window manager to come up. But, the
colors/pixels were completely screwed up and completely unreadable.
So, I next downloaded the source and compiled it up and installed it. Then, I
found the enlightenment.install in the scripts directory and ran it. Then,
when I start up gnome 2.0 from my dtlogin, it starts enlightenment, but then it
pops up a (very readable :-) dialog box saying that enlightenment has a Bus
Error. I have to exit then...
Questions:
1. any ideas on why the Bus Error? Any way for me to diagnose it further?
2. Where in the documentation should I have seen the instructions to run the
enlightenment.install script. Please feel free to flame me if I haven't read
the correct document, and that document is in an obvious place.
3. Any ideas on why the out-of-the-box pkg didn't work?
Thanks.
Vic
