I don't think it's a lib problem. It's probably a bug in e16menuedit2.
Are you uning the current CVS source? Is the ECONFDIR env variable set
(should be done automaticly)? Perhaps try parameter --menus to force new
menu structure.

Then first step is to comile e16menuedit2 with debug options
(./configure --enable-debug). Then try gdb to debug the problem. Send me
the last lines you get from e16menuedit2. If you do this, I'm perhaps
able to help you.
