I like the quick hack way, I made a file in my home dir called .xinitrc and put this in it:

exec enlightenment

Topher
Manager of Internet Services
Cornerstone Broadcasting
Cornerstone University
[snip]
You can also run other stuff too (such as xmodmap, gkrellm, etc) there.
