Hi again,

Well, I'm now a full-time e-user again and I want to delve into
something I never attempted before. I've always been content to use the
themes and basic settings offered at themes.org (well, I guess freshmeat
these days).

Configuring a wharf bar is kicking my butt. I can modify an existing
setup without problems, but I can't seem to add a slide bar
successfully. Is there any tutorial available? My searches turned up
little info on the topic. I thought I was doing it right by using the
existing config files as examples, but my new buttons never appear. And
after the time I spent gimping this button, I really want it to show!!

I'd gladly contribute by writing a tutorial once I get the hang of it
and possibly contribute some themes - I am the kind of guy who will kill
entire weekends tweaking my desktop :-)

Thanks in advance!

I'm curious what you mean by "configuring a wharf"? The best solution would be to write your
own using the ample tools of the EFL.

There are, however some options, depending on what you expect a wharf to do.
For general usage, try ROX (particuarlly ROX panel): http://rox.sourceforge.net/phpwiki/
For system information try GKRELLM: http://web.wt.net/~billw/gkrellm/gkrellm.html
If you don't mind using QT (yuck), try SuperKaramba: http://netdragon.sourceforge.net/
And if you like SuperKaramba but would rather use GTK, try gDesklets: http://gdesklets.gnomedesktop.org/

This assumes you have a distaste for developing or using existing Epplets (http://enlightenment.org/pages/download.html
at the bottom of the page).

A wharf can be or do alot of diffrent things, it all depends on what you want to do specifically.
