Hi list, Recent discussions here have made me curious.
I just purchased a new laptop running Fedora Core 2 and I'm currently using KDE again. I'd like to re-install E, my big question is should I try to use the latest EFL? I'm not afraid of running beta code, but my past experience with E, DR16.7 under RedHat 9 was a little buggy for me - probably due to some of my configurations, nothing major that impacted my enjoyment of E. My biggest issue came when I tried to get Evidence installed. I never succeeded and managed to break some apps - notably gnumeric. I'm afraid of having a similar problem this time around. I have new hardware and a fresh distro installed to start with. So, is there any advice to FC2 users who would like to see an E native filemanager running on their system? Are my fears unwarranted? What would be the most logical set of apps/libraries to install to achieve this goal and maintain a system stable enough to do your daily work? -- Derek Schaible <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> CSSI, Inc.
