Yes, I get nautilus comes up and if I don't add --no-desktop I also get
the desktop. What is not showing up are the icons for the theme i.e.
folders. I see a blank icon and it looks like a file but nothing that

not loading GNOME's themes properly because any theme configs I set in
GNOME (color of windows, Icons showing up, Fonts) are not getting

my experience too with nautilus. I've wondered how to fix it but I
don't use it enough to really care. If anyone has an idea, though, I
would be interested in hearing too.
BTW, This is on FC2.
Start gnome-settings-daemon before starting nautilus.
On my system it's in /usr/libexec.
