I can confirm that enlightenment seems (at least seemed, im still using 
e16.6) to be unable to use some images (for example non-progressive 
jpegs). Those images allways disapear when enlightenment is restartet, the 
bg is black thogh the thumbnail in the bg-switcher shows the image, but 
the content is empty (you know what i mean...). I'll soon try out 16.7, 
maybe i have some more things to add ;) I just wanted to confirm (stick 
together folks ^^ )

This is all wrong. I don't see anything like that. Could you try if this

I think this problem was fixed in CVS some days ago (before pre1).
