Hey, I remember a little while ago there was a thread on here that was sort of pointing nowhere...
About making an E-based linux distribution.
I just recently installed gentoo linux on my laptop ( and lost all my old e-users messages in the process ) and I have to say that the E-based distro is already here!
While setting it up, I just specified I wanted to use entrance as the login manager, E as the window manager, and that did it!
I have no KDE, no Gnome, no other Window Manager than E-0.16.6 installed, and everything works lovely.
It boots in less than 20 seconds (which is how long it takes windows XP to load on this machine), has all the flexibility I want and nothing I don't want. I know it's hard to install, and I had to re-try myself 2 or 3 times before getting it to work, but it's definitely worth it.
So for all of the users out there looking for a distro with only E and entrance and evidence and E-based librairies, Gentoo is the way to go!
Sorry if I'm just clogging the list up, but I think it's definitely worth it.

About entrance, I like it alot. But how, and where would I find themes for it? How can I change the default theme? I'm assuming it's some config file somewhere, but gentoo has so many I just can't figure out which one.
Thanks for answering
John
