I've been giving the idea of suing spammers serious thought and have
been looking through articles on the web.  There's some fairly good
information at http://www.spamcon.org/ for US citizens.  It occured to
me that we could sue the spammer that sends mail to this list on behalf
of everyone on the list and use the money for the enlightenment
project.  Unfortunatly I know very little about the laws in general and
the people on this list do not all live in the US.  I'm not sure you can
file a class action suit involving people in different countries but it
may be possible.  Is anyone here familiar enough with the law to know
whether this is plausible or worthwhile?
Also, I don't remember whether the spammer spoofed his address or not
and whether it's possible to sue him if he did.
