Hi all,

I have played with various other WM in the 6 years I have been using Enlightenment, and although these forays have only been short, I have noticed one nice feature of a number of other WM. Specifically, it is the ability to assign a hot-key combination that works whatever app has the focus to, for example, load a new Eterm up.

I believe that the reason this works is because the hot-key combination is passed down the tree of X11 windows until someone handles it, so what I am really looking for is a way to bind a hot-key combination to exec'ing an Eterm in such a way that unless that hot-key combination is used by the app/window with the current focus, it loads a new Eterm.

Would anyone know if I can do this with Enlightenment, and how?

Cheers,

Jamie
