I was doing something similar, but i put enlightenment in background before other apps

exec enlightenment
exec xhost local:iridium &

I corrected it, putting enlightenment at last. Thanks! I hope it works!
Ah, in MDK 9.1 the file is not ~/.Xclients-default but ~/.Xclients
