Sadly, this happens in the Mandrake 9.1 version of E DR 0.16.5 too. I found that the menus I wantedI have RedHat 9.0 and the pre3-rh9 version of E Problem: I have no user menus. Other menus work. eg. middle button and right button. Tried the perl script to generate them. Also, have gnome and kde on this system. Any help appreciated.
Were located in /etc/X11/enlightenment and they were ugly and fragmented.
I never tried to figure out how to get them to work either.
Do what I did, download the 0.16.5 source and compile it (uninstall the Redhat E rpm first of course). Make sure when you run ./configure you specify YOUR libpng headers and libraries, otherwise you won't be able to get any textures in E (i.e. it will be hosed).
When the compile is done, install it (as root). Then run the <enlightenment_home>/enlightenment.install script as yourself (non-root). Then turn off the graphical login, so you boot into the command line.
Log out. Then log back in and execute xinit or startx. Enlightenment should start!!
