Your version of freetype has issues in displaying some of the E cvs ttf fonts. You can try 2.1.3 if your running 2.1.2 OR rollback to 2.0.9 or earlier for full compatability with E cvs. Another option is to replace the offending ttf file with something like yuditt.ttf that works well. You need to rename it to the hardcoded font names currently in the cvs code. This is a trick (workaround) so changing your freetype version is the proper way to go about it.
