Patch Set 2: First of all - from rest-api you cannot remove it, so u will have to keep a "read only" field at DbUser. Second - this will require a db change - removing the groups column from users table. Do we want to do that at this atage of 3.5 or do that for 3.6, if we want to do that for 3.6, i would like to suggest have the overall change of having a relation table between users and groups, and not invest time on an interim fix.
