Patch Set 6: Omer, There are some significant reasons in taking this approach * Event logs are not always noticed by the user, and its not drawing the attention as well. This might flood, as every 5 secs we are checking for new peers. * Currently we don't have any centralized place to show the notifications which needs some action from the user * 'Comment' is more of a dynamic field as opposite to 'description'. This 'Comment' is mostly used to remember or convey something like "Don't shutdown the VM's in this cluster", or "This cluster will be under maintenance from <DT> to <DT>". Also it shows a 'note' icon, which draws the user attention. * Other approach is to go with a new field and a new column(something like an exclamation symbol in Hosts) in the clusters table. Please let me know, what do you think. -- To view, visit http://gerrit.ovirt.org/20755 To unsubscribe, visit http://gerrit.ovirt.org/settings Gerrit-MessageType: comment Gerrit-Change-Id: I07c30ae9d7381a56edc753fdbfdb439465ffe6b7 Gerrit-PatchSet: 6 Gerrit-Project: ovirt-engine Gerrit-Branch: master Gerrit-Owner: Kanagaraj M <kmayi...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: Kanagaraj M <kmayi...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: Omer Frenkel <ofren...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: Ramesh N <rnach...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: Sahina Bose <sab...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: Shubhendu Tripathi <shtri...@redhat.com> Gerrit-Reviewer: oVirt Jenkins CI Server Gerrit-HasComments: No _______________________________________________ Engine-patches mailing list Engine-patches@ovirt.org http://lists.ovirt.org/mailman/listinfo/engine-patches
