If the font doesn't have a glyph for it, a hollow box should be
displayed, but nothing displayed, if that char is inserted between "AB",
an "A", a hollow box, and a "B" should be dispalyed, as Emacs 22.1 did,
but only "AB" is displayed in emacs-unicode-2.
