For myself, I feel like icalendar-rrule would be discoverable and easy to remember. icalendar-recval seems a bit less intuitive to me. Sorry for the slow response, I do plan to respond to your other helpful suggestions, but am delayed in looking at it. But I thought I should at least respond to the point above in case the opinion is still helpful.
