Hello,

I am trying to install CentOS 9 on an old Dell server with Perc 6/i Raid card. The card identified as “Broadcom / LSI MegaRAID SAS 1078 [1000:0060]" and Elrepo’s DeviceIDs page indicates that the kmod-megaraid_sas driver package should work with it.

There is no CentOS 9, only CentOS _Stream_ 9 which is *ahead* of RHEL so uses a newer kernel than RHEL or any of its clones. ELRepo kmods only work with current RHEL kernels not with future ones.  Use RHEL/Rocky/Alma or maybe OEL and they should not have this problem.

Any suggestions to what I may have done wrong?

Used Stream :-O
