Thanks for the info, looks like ELRepo LT for EL 9 will be 6.1.x until
the end of 2027.

I'm in the unfortunate situation of needing a kernel newer than 6.1
for (better) Intel ARC GPU support and a kernel older than 6.13 for
current ZFS version support.

No worries though, EL 10 is just around the corner and it should have
kernel 6.11 which hopefully solves my problem, as long as EL 10 has
the required kernel configuration for Intel ARC.


It is worth keeping an eye on the el9 distro kernel, as Red Hat do backport stuff at each point release, so they may backport the Intel ARC GPU support you require. Filing a bug (or a support ticket if you are a customer) can highlight the need, but the process isn't always fast.

RHEL10 beta is currently shipping with a 6.12 kernel, and I expect this to remain so for the GA release. Should be out in a couple months (May), I'm guessing.
