If I understand your problem right, the option you looking for is 
"save as". Press "F10" (or click at the top bar) to bring the menu 
bar in front then press "f" to pull down the "File" menu and then
press "v" to selecte the option "save as" (of course you could also
clidk or hit the return key at the right places.)
