I think it would be useful to be able to store the "updates" locally,
just in case of an unexpected problem. That would allow you to return
the K3 to it's previous firmware version for comparison purposes if
nothing else... It would also allow those without internet access near
their K3 to take the update to the rig on a laptop.
Seem to make sense to me.
