There are a zillion (scientific term) SMDs on the bottom of that board.
Perhaps the K3's shown in photos, are not
fitted out with all the options, filters,
2nd receivers, etc. But I didn't see too many
surface mounted PCB plugs either.
There are spots for all the filters on the top of the board, and the
subreceiver will go in that space also.
