Glenn, Yes, the N-Gen does not like to see transmitted power at its output!
Check to see if MiniCircuits has any European sources. Your least cost alternative may be to send a note to mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] and ask for a replacement. Dans Small Parts has a suitable substitute (INA-10386) that I have used, but he wants $13.50 for international shipping - but if you order other parts it may be worthwhile. Sorry to hear of your disaster. Put the K2 into CW TEST in the future. But who am I to talk, I did the same thing only last week (for the 4th or 5th time). Fortunately, I have replacements on hand so I was able to recover in a few minutes after the air cleared from the "AHHH S**T". 73, Don W3FPR > -----Original Message----- > > Hi all > > while checking the alignment of my filters I accidentally hit my > paddles (I > know, I should disconnect them before doing such stuff...) and I > zapped the > N-Gen that was connected to my K2's antenna port. > Most likely I fried the MAR-1 amp.
