Hi Terry, Check the sidetone source - in version of the MCU firmware prior to 2.04R there is an option to select two different points in the hardware from which the sidetone is sourced. One selection is specific to older K2 radios that do NOT have the KIO2 interface (either in the K2 or in the KPA100 module), and if that source is selected when the RS-232 interface is present, it will result in no sidetone. Check the K2 Owner's Manual for 'sidetone source' - this was also a recent thread with another K2 owner that taught me something I had never encountered (and I run 2.04P).
