Hi, I also have the 2m transverter fitted in my KX3 but don't have any problems.
Probably the best place to do this posting is on the "Elecraft-AX/KX/KH" on Groups.io website as there are a lot of KX3 users on there. If you had been nearby we could have compared rigs. Have you tried frequencies at both ends of the band, just in case the IF is off a bit off?
