Not all Elecraft guys are "financially unencumbered", well, not in the
way you appear to intend. <smile>
I chose Elecraft because Dad taught me to buy the best tools I can
reasonably get my hands on.
Buy the best you can and take care of it.
When it came to picking a radio, that meant Elecraft.
I made it a priority; it happened. (Of course, I had a lot of help
along the way.)
I wish all my amateur radio brothers every success so that they might
ALL realize their best radio adventures.
