The KAT500 used to have two annoying behaviors associated with RF count frequency:
1. Tune could be initiated in the current "bin". This is prevented by operating in MAN mode. 2. The tuner could jump to an adjacent bin and select a different tuning solution. This cannot be prevented by operating in MAN mode. For a long time Elecraft insisted that RF count would always take priority over any other frequency. That has changed. Give the KAT500 a stable transceiver TX frequency using AUX bus or RS-232. Then disable RF count using FDT as described earlier by Dick, K6KR. All retune and bin jumping will be eliminated. Note the requirement to give the KAT500 the TX frequency.
