Transmitting at full power into no antenna is a good way blow up a rig.
I suggest that you send it to Elecraft and fire up your spare. They have
a very good service dept, right there in Watsonville, CA. I've been
there more than once, because I live down the road, and my K4 is there
now. The guys on the service benches are my neighbors, and they're very
sharp.
