I love mine, and would encourage any ham to buy it . That said, I recently tried to use it in an experiment to demonstrate the excellent strong-interference-rejection of my K3. I fed the XG3 together with antenna into the K3. It became obvious that the XG# generates a lot of wide sidebands. When I replaced the XG3 with my HP 8640B at same output level, all those unwanted signals were gone. So, clean for many purposes, but not comparable with the HP 8640B.
